HT-800 and HT-820 silicone foam for turnout gear padding are available from .032′ through 0.5″ thick for medium firmness HT-800 and .032″ through 0.25″ for firm HT-820. 0.25″ thick is a common thickness for silicone foam turnout gear padding. HT-800 and HT-820 have operating temperatures to 392°F and stay flexible in sub-freezing conditions (-67°F). In addition, the modified closed cell structure offers good thermal insulation minimizes moisture absorption. HT-800 silicone turnout gear padding offers comfort and cushioning. The foam has been flame tested to UL 94V-0, vertical burn test.

R-10400 turnout gear closed cell sponge padding is a 500°F vertical flame tested (UL 94V-0). R-10400 is a high temperature closed cell sponge that prevents water absorption and is more water resistant than the HT-800 turnout gear foam. As with HT-800 high temp foam, R-10400 turnout gear offers comfort and insulation. R-10400 foam is available in .062″ through 0.25″.
FPC (Fire Protection Covering) protective foam was designed to resist burn through of flames up to 1900°F. This flame retardant material was designed to be used as flame barrier blanket and can be used by turnout gear manufacturers as padding. FPC fire retardant foam has a glass cloth on one side and is available in .062″, .125″ and 0.25″.
