In November 2021, Stockwell Elastomerics implemented the first phase of increasing capacity in its liquid silicone rubber (LSR) injection molding area. Phase 2 of this expansion is now completed, with all of the new equipment now installed and running. In addition to the equipment, staff has been added in production and engineering to support the new equipment.
Phase 1 involved the purchase of 3 new Graco Fluid Automation F4-55 units. Phase 2 included 2 additional fluid automation units and 2 new liquid injection molding machines. Staffing additions brought in 9 new technical manufacturing team members and 4 new engineers. Stockwell Elastomerics has now significantly increased its capacity by about 20% to support strong customer demand for high performance LSR molded and fabricated components, and is considering the next capacity expansion moves.
