Stockwell Elastomerics is aware of discontinuations to certain Gore® EMI shielding materials, including Gore’s GS2100, GS5200, and GS8000. Many different applications over a wide breadth of industries had utilized these now-obsolete materials for components. Applications included military, aerospace, and various ruggedized portable electronic devices such as scanners, readers, phones, computers, radios, GPS, wireless equipment and testing equipment. These materials had uses ranging from EMI gaskets to connector gaskets and grounding pads. Trying to find suitable equivalent materials can be a daunting task. Stockwell Elastomerics has demonstrated expertise and experience when it comes to EMI gasketing material, and we can help when selecting a suitable replacement material.

However, choosing a replacement material is not always as straightforward as finding the same product with a different name.
